Hunting the Sillent Killer - Novi Vinodolsk iTrail

01.06.2026.

A trail race organized by Run Croatia was held in Novi Vinodolski as part of the public health campaign “Hunting the Silent Killer”, conducted by the Croatian Hypertension League. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of preventing cardiovascular diseases through regular physical activity, healthy nutrition, blood pressure and cholesterol management, and the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits.

A total of 95 runners participated in the races, while more than 80 children took part in the kids’ races, once again highlighting the importance of engaging all generations in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

By combining sport, outdoor activities, and education on risk factors associated with cardio-renal-metabolic diseases, participants supported an initiative that emphasizes the importance of prevention, early detection, and timely health care. Special attention was given to maintaining healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels, as well as to the role of regular physical activity in preserving cardiovascular health.

We would like to thank all competitors, parents, volunteers, and partners whose participation contributed to the successful organization of this event. We extend our special gratitude to our sponsors, Amgen, Berlin Chemie Menarini Croatia, Bayer and Servier for supporting this initiative and helping to raise awareness of the importance of prevention and the preservation of cardio-renal-metabolic health.

Through our joint efforts, we continue to promote a healthy and active lifestyle as one of the most important prerequisites for long-term health preservation and an improved quality of life.
